This isn't our train

It's been just over a year since the 1882 movement was birthed with the aim to support and belong to the shirt, singing hearts out no matter where and no matter what. When The Fighting Cock started this we didn't quite expect so many supporters to be interested in following the youth team with the purpose of showing the kids the same type of committed support as the first team get. Or to be more precise, to show  unrelenting passionate support of the ilk that appears to be slowly disappearing from any given match day experience. A year on, with Tottenham themselves aiding allocation for games, the journey continues.

First team games that 1882 have been present at remain diluted (bar Maribor at home when an entire block was allocated and sold out) but the youth games is what it's all truly about. Love the shirt. Love Tottenham. Sing for ninety minutes.

FA Youth Cup - 4th Round
Charlton 1 Tottenham Hotspur 0

Thursday 13th September 2012
NextGen Series, Group 1
Tottenham Hotspur 0 Barcelona 2

Friday 15th February 2013
FA Youth Cup - 5th Round
Tottenham Hotspur 4 Bolton Wanderers 8 (eight)

200 turned up away to Charlton in what was possibly one of the best away trips I've ever been on (This isn't our train, this isn't our traaaaaain, don't get on it, this isn't our train). Barca at home saw just under 9000 people at White Hart Lane, with two whole blocks of 1882 singing non-stop for the entirety of the match. 300 (out of 2500 present) at the Bolton home game to witness twelve goals and yet another defeat. We must be a distraction.

Next up...Arsenal away. We might actually see a win this time.
